The Knuckle Deep Barbecue Festival is an annual competition in the river district of Asheville, North Carolina. Barbecue teams compete for glamorous prizes and eternal glory. Prize money this year will be at a record high (not really), as will be the level of competition. If you are planning to attend the festival:  Do NOT invite weirdos. If you are a weirdo… stay home.
